Promontory Apartments is the first skyscraper Mies van der Rohe designed. The 22 story skyscraper was the first of his buildings to feature concepts such as an exposed skeleton. The cooperative building has 122 units and overlooks Burnham Park in the Hyde Park neighborhood.
