The IIT Commons Building was designed by the office of Mies van der Rohe’s on Illinois Institute of Technology Campus. In 2003, the building was incorporated into McCormick Tribune Campus Center (designed by Rem Koolhaas) on the northeast corner. Both buildings were designed to serve student and faculty social activities, located close to campus housing and the fraternity complex.
